VII century b.c. Greek colonization starts (Pithekoussai) until the middle of the same century with Cuma's foundation by the Greeks of Ischia. Cuma become the most important "flegrea" town.
VII centuty b.c. Partenope or Palepoli settle down on the Pizzofalcone hill.
V century b.c. First part: Neapolis birth.
524 b.c. Cuma attacked from the Etruscans of Capua, but they were defeated.
474 b.c. Etruscan attempt to conquest Cuma from the sea. Cuma enters into an alliance with Syracuse (Gerone), after winning the attackers gives Ischia to the syracusans that remained there until the end of V century.
421 b.c. Samnites defeated Cuma.
II century b.c. (end) Pithedoussai disappearance.
I century b.c. (beginnig) Aenaria probably settle down into the area of the present Ischia.
82 b.c. Ischia separates from Naples and goes under Roman control.
29 b.c. Tiberius gives Ischia to Naples changing it with Capri.
130-150 Aenaria disappearance.
558 After barbarians invasion, Byzantines take again the isle which follows the vicissitudes of Naples.
661-1130 The Duchy of Naples.
812-40-47 Saracens raids.
1134 Ischia's passage under the Norman domination.
1194-1265 Swabian domination.
1265-1282 Angevin domination. Building of the fortification on the isle.
1283-1438 Angevins against Aragoneses. Alfonso of Aragon starts his domination with the Avalos family.
1301-1303 A succesions of eruptions, distruction of the medieval centre of Gironda.
1496 (Jun.6) French vain attack.
1501 (Aug.18) Ischia is declared "most loyal" from Ferdinando d'Aragona it's annexed to the Crown lands.
1509 (Dec.27) Francesco d'Avalos marries Vittoria Colonna into the Castello Aragonese.
1534-44-52 The Corsair Khair-ed Din and Dragut raids.
1708 Ischia under the Austrian domination.
1729 Michelangelo d'Avalos dies: Ischia's rebellion to the feudatories. The isle goes back to the Crown lands.
1734 (Feb.20) Carlo I of Bourbon invades Ischia and Procida.
1806 French people in Ischia: on the 21st and 22nd of June an English attack from the sea continued until the middle of July.
1828 Strong earthquake.
1853 (Jul.25) Starting of the works to open Ishcia's dock.
1854 (Sept.17) Opening of new dock and of the Bourbonic Way (Casamicciola-Lacco-Forio).
1863 (Jan.30) Another strong earthquake felt also in Ventotene. The same event happens in July, 25 1880.
1881 (Mar.4) Violent earthquake with epicentre in Casamicciola.
1883 (Jul.28) Ruinous earthquake for the island devasted Casamicciola.
